Manny started work at the firm in 2010. He started his legal career in Sydney before making the sea change to Coffs Harbour in 2007 and soon settled at Ticli Blaxland as an employee of Sam Ticli and Jack Blaxland.

Manny says; “I was attracted to the firm because of its high standards and excellent reputation within the community. I also enjoyed being mentored by the extremely knowledgeable and experienced partners.”

“I built on the solid foundation that TBL had established as the oldest law firm in Coffs Harbour. I concentrated on improving and streamlining the firm’s processes and marketing.”


“I initially worked in Criminal Law and Family Law before focussing on Wills and Estates and Property Law.”

Manny became partner with Jack Blaxland in 2012. “I was proud that Jack recognised my hard work and trusted my abilities as a partner”.

Manny completed his Master of Laws in 2013 and attained the award for best graduating student.

“It was challenging balancing study with full-time work and family life. It was important to me to make sure I had the skills to offer a very high standard of legal advice in the important field of Wills and Estates. I am the only Master of Laws in this field in Coffs Harbour!”

In 2013, Manny began writing the popular Hypotheticals column in The Advocate. “After hounding the Editor for several months, I finally got my chance. The feedback has been amazing. I have now published over 300 columns!”

Manny became a Notary Public in 2014.

Manny attained his Specialist Accreditation in Wills and Estates in 2015. “This took a lot of work and is one of my biggest achievements. There are fewer than 70 of us practicing in the whole of NSW.”

The firm was incorporated in 2019, when Jack Blaxland retired and Manny and James Blaxland established TB LAW Pty Limited. “It was sad to see Jack go after working with him for so long but he has left a valuable legacy which the company will take with it into the future”.

TBL now has four lawyers and seven support staff. “We have a strong team that deals with a wide range of legal matters. We will continue to work hard and offer the level of service for which the firm is renowned. 10 more years coming-up!”
